Countryside Hotel Photography | Hungary

We were commissioned to photograph Csipkerózsa Parkhotel in Csólyospálos, a picturesque retreat nestled in the untouched forests and meadows of South Hungary. My role involved capturing both interior and exterior architectural photos of the hotel and its sprawling estate, while my colleague handled aerial shots using a drone. The resulting images were intended for marketing purposes, including social media, booking sites, the hotel’s new website, and printed materials like brochures and leaflets.
Located near Szeged, a major Hungarian city, the hotel is owned by a Swiss-Hungarian doctor couple. Spread across several hectares, this four-star complex features a fine dining restaurant, a bar, a gym, a swimming pool, and two unique attractions: an Airbus A320 flight simulator and a golf simulator.
The two-day project presented some challenges, particularly with lighting. For example, the swimming pool was optimally lit for photography only during a short window each day. In tricky lighting situations, I utilized HDR techniques to blend multiple exposures, ensuring details in both highlights and shadows were preserved.
Working in such a serene and beautiful environment was a rewarding experience. Once back home, I dedicated several more days to editing the photos to perfection.
